Pin Up & Hot Rod

At the end of 2005, I discovered on the Discovery Channel a program entirely devoted to old custom cars : American Hot Rods. I already had a big passion for old cars (my dream is to have a 1956 red & white Chevrolet) but it increased at each episode thanks to the adventures of Boyd Coddington and his employees. Now I know everything about motors and camshaft...

I had the idea for a long time to launch a series devoted to old cars and pin-ups but my first project was much more into an imitation of the 1950's calendars. However, as the time went by, I thought it would be funnier to transform my sexy pin-ups (inspired by Betty Page, Dita Von Teese & Heidi Von Horn) into very small and very cute characters. By the summer of 2006, my first "mini pin-up" was born!

As far as the car is concerned, I was of course inspired by hot rods and vintage cars but also by one of the Hot Wheels's car I had in my childhood : the very famous Hot Wheel's Twin Mill with its long red flames on each side of the body.
