Constantine - John Constantine

John Constantine, the hero of the movie Constantine, with Keanu Reeves.

John is an occult detective who hunts demons, practices exorcisms and struggles to overcome the influence of both Heaven and Hell involved into a war in which Humans are nothing but useless pawns. His constant search of redemption makes him one of the darkest characters in the world of comic books.

Even if I am a fan of the original comic, Hellblazer (Vertigo), and that that dear Keanu has nothing to do with J. Constantine, I must admit I quite enjoyed the movie and his embodiment of the character. Well I can't be unbiased here : I've been a fan of Keanu Reeves for years (in spite of his strange acting...)

Next time and just for the fun of it, I will try to draw John as he is described and represented in the comics, a kind of illegitimate child of Sting, Brian Seltzer and Billy Idol...with a trench coat.
